Peter Mulok Kedit was born on 9th April 1941 in Singapore where he had his early education at St. Andrew’s Secondary School. He had his Diploma of Journalism from University of Queensland, Australia in 1967, and his B.A. and M.A. degrees in Anthropology and Sociology from the same university. He was appointed as government ethnologist at Sarawak Museum in 1973.
