Sediment deposits in sewer had been known to have adverse effects such as causing flash flooding in urban areas and also environmental pollution. Sedimentation in closed conduit sewers used in developed European countries has been subjected to extensive studies. However, only limited studies are available in the literature for sedimentation in open storm sewere used in developing and less developed contries.
